About The Girl Store

The Girl Store was created by Sophie Welter, a woman who saw a gap in how everyday life is designed to prioritize men and decided to build something better.

This business is about more than just making things pink. Though we are starting with simple products, the goal is much larger. It is about putting more resources, attention, and intention toward all women’s lives, by addressing real needs and creating new experiences. Our pay structure across the company is 7:1 executive pay cap (no founder or CEO can earn more than 7x the lowest-paid full-time employee) and a portion of all profits is directed into a dedicated community fund.

For a long time, many spaces, systems, and products have been built with men at the center.

The Girl Store exists to shift that focus.

Despite the name, this is not a space that excludes anyone.

What we are building is a brand that prioritizes women while remaining useful to everyone, with an aim to expand reach further, creating businesses that serve as community hubs, encourage social connection, and make people feel safe and welcomed.

This online launch is our first step, where we introduce products designed to make everyday life easier and more comfortable, while building a foundation for more. As the business grows, so does the mission, with the long-term goal of creating physical spaces where people can gather, feel safe, and be part of a stronger, more connected community.

This is more than a store. It is the beginning of something meant to change the world!
